Today afternoon (23/5/2014), President Truong Tan Sang had a meeting with Mr. Takashima – Emeritus Chairman of Kyoei Steel LTD - Japan in his visit to Vietnam.
At the meeting, President Truong Tan Sang expressed his pleasure about the very good development in Vietnam - Japan relationship in recent years, especially, the two countries had just agreed to upgrade the relationship framework to “Extensive Strategic Partnership” for Peace and prosperity of Asia. The President believes, the agreements reached mutually by both sides on the previous visit to Japan would help creating new momentum for the friendship and cooperation relations, which are well developing between the two countries.
President stressed that, the State and Government of Vietnam always attaches great importance to the role of the Japanese private sectors for the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries, the President stated that, the Government of Vietnam would create favorable conditions for Japanese firms to increase investment and business development in Vietnam effectively.
The President recognized and appreciated the pioneering role and contributions of Kyoei Steel LTD on the development of economic cooperation between Vietnam and Japan for many years. He wished, in the coming time, Kyoei Steel would continue to expand its investment and business in Vietnam thereby contributing to the promotion of further cooperation in investment, trade between the two countries.
Mr. Takashima affirmed that, Vietnam is always the first option and destination for Japanese businesses including Kyoei Steel, Mr. Takashima informed the President about the positive results in promoting cooperation of Japanese and Kyoei Steel investment in Vietnam and look forward to receiving the supports and favorable conditions for Kyoei Steel business from the leaders of Vietnam.
